2025 AHA Predoctoral Fellowship

Jieying was awarded the American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship for her project “Defining a blood-ganglion barrier in the peripheral nervous system.” It starts from January 1, 2025.

AHA aims to “enhance the integrated research and clinical training of promising students who are matriculated in pre-doctoral or clinical health professional degree training programs and who intend careers as scientists, physicianscientists or other clinician-scientists, or related careers aimed at improving global cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and brain health. Within this award, additional collaboration money has been designated through the AHA/CHF Congenital Heart Defect Research Awards, Autism Speaks, the Barth Syndrome Foundation and the California Walnut Commission” (AHA, 2024).
